Barbara Heller

Barbara Heller is an actress, writer, singer, and voice over artist who was born in NY but raised in Boca Raton, FL. She attended three High Schools including: Palm Beach County School of the Arts.She won a Scholarship to perform at Julliard in High School for a National Shakespeare Festival with Diane Wiest. She performed in 25 plays and musicals on stage before the age of 17. Vocally trained in Operatic singing since the age of 9, Barbara also trained at a local dance company throughout her childhood. She received her BA in Musical Theatre from the University of Florida with a lot of training from Tisch School of the Arts at NYU as well as some training at College of Fine Arts at Boston University, Walnut Hill Summer Theatre School, and was a student at the Conservatorio Di Musica for Opera in Castel Franco Veneto, Italy during college. She took acting classes at Sande Shurin Acting Studio in NY. She is a 401 Graduate from the Upright Citizens Brigade in Los Angeles, and has studied at UCB in NY as well as The Groundlings in Los Angeles. She also studied acting and improvisation with Gary Austin, Anthony Rapp, Camryn Manheim, Nick Hoffa, Adam Mckay, and Lauri Peters.Barbara was in a National Tour of the musical Mananas De Abril y Mayo for Natl. Biggs Rosatti from New York. (2000)Barbara wrote Book and Lyrics (for all but 2 of the songs) in the original musical, Finding Barb: My Unorthodox Quest for Love which played to sold-out audiences in Hollywood, CA in 2012-2013 and then went on tour in 2014. She also creates comedic and musical web sketches and series on a regular basis via her Youtube Page.Barbara developed a feature film out of her musical in 2014 and is still working on it.
